booking terms and conditions

we are a family run business who believe in being upfront with people and providing a fun service at the lowest price possible. the price we quote has no hidden charges.

​

All bookings will require a non refundable  but transferable booking fee at time of booking to secure your date, variable depending on size of package. This amount will be deducted from the overall price.

​

Half of the then remaining amount is payable 8 weeks before the event and again non refundable but transferable  

​

We will always endeavour to be as flexible, helpful, understanding and compassionate as possible. please understand we may have had to turn down other bookings for your date.

overnight home hire packages will also require an added small fully refundable security deposit due to machines not being manned

​

if you change your event date, we will of course try our best to accommodate the change of date if we have machines available. 

​

 please do contact us to see if we can work something for you as we know things don't always run smoothly.

retro ni WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY LIABILITY for  INJURY FOR PATRONS USING OUR EQUIPMENT IN AN AGRESSIVE MANOR, UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS

EQUIPMENT WILL BE PLACED BY STAFF OF RETRO NI AND COMPLY WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES AND WILL NOT BE  PERMITTED TO BE MOVED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN RETRO NI STAFF.

PATRONS AT YOUR EVENT WILL BE HELD LIABLE for DAMAGES AND REPLACEMENTS

1. To be qualified for rental, the Renter must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Renter must be an authorized user of a credit or debit card. There must be valid charging to pay the security deposit, any damages that may be assessed in event of failure to return the Arcade Game in compliance with Terms below.


3. The Renter shall allow Retro NI to enter Renter’s premises where the rented equipment is stored. If the Renter is in default of any of the terms and conditions of this agreement, Retro NI at the Renter’s risk, cost and expense may at any time enter the Renter’s premises where the rented equipment is stored or used at all time and recover the rented equipment.

4. The Renter shall not remove the equipment from the address of the Renter or the location shown herein as the place of use of the equipment. The Arcade Game will remain in the place delivered without disassembly or tampering or moved.
5. Renter agrees that Retro NI may change the nature of this agreement at any time without prior notice.
6. Retro NI may, at any time, terminate your Rental for any reason with or without notice.

 

7. Delivery Conditions 
a.Retro NI has the right to refuse delivery at any time, including during or delivery, if it is deemed by Retro NI that the location poses a risk of loss to the Arcade Game. This can be exercised at any time including during or after delivery. 
b. Renter agrees to photographs being taken by Retro NI at time of delivery showing placement of set up of machine, condition machine is left in and that health and safety i.e. leads etc have been fully inspected and the position we leave it in. It will be time stamped.

8. Game Maintenance a. Renter shall not use the game for any other use than its manufactured intent as an amusement machine. Renter also agrees to not use any equipment on machine, such as testing equipment, electronic, or games not designed for use in the Arcade Game.
b. Renter shall only use Arcade Game for non-commercial purposes. 
c. Renter shall not move the machine from where it was placed by Retro NI 
d. Renter agrees to not open, enter, or break inside the machine.
e. Renter shall not dissassemble the machine in any manner 
f. Renter shall take care in dealing with the machine and not use it in a manner beyond its normal intent. The Arcade Game should never be played with aggressive force.
g. Renter shall keep the game turned off when not in use. 
h. No drinks on machines. Ever.
i. Renter agrees to keep any person under the age of 18 away from the machine unless they are under direct parent or guardian supervision.

10. During Rental Period, if the rented Arcade Game begins to function in a way different than after the initial delivery, Renter will contact Retro NI by phone or email


Renter will unplug the machine and keep it turned off until further notified. b. Retro NI may attempt to assist with troubleshooting the problem remotely (via phone or email). If the problem persists, Retro NI will send a staff member to go to the address listed as the location for the Renter to repair the Arcade Game. 


11. If Retro NI determines by reasonable discretion that Renter is responsible for the damage or lack of normal functioning to the Arcade Game, Renter will be charged for the cost of repair in accordance with .
a. Renter is responsible and liable for all damage or loss to the Arcade Game during the Rental Period.
b. In case Retro NI deems the Arcade Game repairable, Renter shall reimburse Retro NI for the cost of parts and repair
c. After repair attempts or in case of damage, if Retro NI upon reasonable inspection deems Arcade Game a total loss, in the event Arcade Game is not returned, or in event Arcade Game is stolen, Renter agrees to be liable and pay for total cost in value of Arcade Game. Value of Arcade Game shall be determined by Retro NI based on current market value.
